Residential · Knockdown-rebuild · Under construction
Herbert House is a knockdown-rebuild project on a bayside block on the Redcliffe Peninsula. The original dwelling on a double block was cleared and the land split into two 405 m² sites. On one of them, Monster Homes is building a modern coastal home that is compact by design and considered down to the last detail: every room earning its place, light and cross-ventilation doing the work, and a plan that lives larger than its footprint.
The build is the clearest view of how YDC approaches a residential project: a realistic brief, a budget held to, and the trade-offs made in the open. It's being documented from the inside as The Herbert House build series on Instagram.
